DIGITAL CAMERA Tips: Slim Digital Cameras
Slim Digital Cameras
Due to innovations in the digital world, more and more products have made their way into our daily lives. Computers are now vital for work, school, and leisure; most places already have wireless internet connections for gadgets; music players, game consoles, and mobile phones are a must; and so on.
The same thing has happened to digital cameras. Its features have far evolved and multiplied compared to the time when we were still using film in our cameras. Now almost everyone has a digital camera or is planning to buy one.
There is however, an abundance of models and types to choose from, and it might be quite confusing for first time buyers. Usually, these buyers would be casual users, who are in the market for accessible and handy cameras much unlike the new slim digital cameras.
With the popular demand of having everything more mobile, simple, and compact; a lot of companies have revolutionized their products to suit these needs. Digital cameras are no different; introducing a variety of slim digital cameras into the business.
One would normally think though, that having made a bulky camera smaller might have compromised its effectiveness and output quality, but for the new slim digital cameras, this is not the case. These cameras still produce good, clear images.
Of course, unlike the bulkier professional digital cameras, slim digital cameras have less options. These options however, are not really that essential for non-professional photographers.
Below is a list of what slim digital cameras usually have to offer:
• They are very portable; can be pocketed or placed in small pouches. Storage is never a problem
• Lightweight
• Extremely easier to use than most digital cameras.
• Allows users to take quick snapshots.
• Higher resolutions available (up to 10-12 megapixels).
• Cheaper than most digital cameras.
• Easier to share pictures (flash drives, memory sticks, etc) Image capturing features are still useful, like color manipulation, image effects (sepia, black and white, color intensity, auto-color enhancement)
• Some are shockproof
• Optical stabilization available.
• Shaky hands will not make the picture blurry anymore.
• 5x up to 7x optical zoom
• Auto focus with face detection, blink detection, and “Smile Shutter” technology, which automatically captures a smile when detected Automatic optimization of camera settings
There are a few drawbacks though, for slim digital cameras. For one thing, it might be hard for people who have big hands to navigate or use this camera, as the buttons are very small. Usually the flash button for slim digital cameras is near the edge and fingers get in the way of pictures.
Either way, these are easily remedied, and the features remain ideal for most users.
